  • Dr Ephraim Abwe Diabe was born in Muebah-Nninong in the Southwest Region of Cameroon in February 1973, the last of five siblings. He obtained early formal education at the Presbyterian Primary School in Muebah-Nninong and at the Ave Maria Primary School in Bangem town.Ephraim later furthered studies at the Government Secondary School Bangem, the Bilingual Grammar School in Buea, and later the Universities of Yaoundé and Buea, as well as the Ecole Normale Supérieure Yaoundé for advanced studies in English-French bilingual letters, leading respec-tively to a BA, MA and DEA. A penchant for the practice of good governance and policy issues as a factor of structural prevention of conflict saw him returning to the amphitheatres in the Faculty of Law, University of Yaoundé II for a degree in law; the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin, Germany; and the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs in Syracuse, New York, for a Master of Public Policy (MPP).

    Ephraim holds a Philosophy Doctorate (Research) in peace studies with a focus on local security governance from Selinus Europe University and has spent several years working for international organisations for sustainable peace in Africa. He is married to Abe Abwe Diabe, and they have a large family.
